“Grandpa, you’re not just mom’s dad. You are a dad squared”. This is what many children think of their grandparents, fundamental people for their families and a pillar of Italian welfare. A little driver, a little chef, dog sitter, handyman… grandparents help their children to make a career, and replace the shortages of nursery schools. And for the grandchildren they have become essential figures, more present and less normative than their parents. In this new series we will tell the stories of exceptional grandparents and their grandchildren and how these parental alter egos help the family budget through gestures, affection, time, dedication and above all by cultivating the memory of the family in the soul of the grandchildren .
